HPV vaccinations are free for boys and girls from 12-18 years as well as men who are attracted to men from 18-25 years.

Individuals who are not in the target group for the free offer of HPV vaccination can be vaccinated for a private fee. This is recommended for all sexually active people.

Boys

HPV vaccination for boys, permanent offer from the 1st of September 2019:

The offer of free HPV vaccination applies to boys who have reached the age of 12 on the 1st of July 2019 or thereafter, and until the age of 18, ie. boys born after the 30th of June 2007.

HPV vaccination for boys (catch-up), temporary offer from the 1st of February 2020 to the 31st of December 2021:

The offer of free HPV vaccination as part of the catch-up program applies to boys who have reached the age of 12 in the period from the 1st of January 2018 to the 30th of June 2019, ie. boys born between the 1st of January 2006 and the 30th of June 2007.

Men

HPV vaccination for young men (catch-up), temporary offer from the 1st of February 2020 to the 31st of December 2021 — NEW agreement per. the 1st of March 2020:
The offer of free HPV vaccination as part of the catch-up program applies to young men who are attracted to men and who are between 18 and 25 years old at the time of vaccination.

Girls

HPV vaccination has been part of the Danish childhood vaccination program since the 1st of January 2009. The offer applies to girls from 12-18 years.
