Target groups

  • Elderly 65+ years

  • Patients with certain chronic diseases

  • Pregnant women in 2nd and 3rd trimester

  • Persons with congenital or acquired immune deficiency and their household

  • Staff in the health and care sector

  • Children 2-6 years (nasal spray *)

* Children are offered a flu vaccine in the form of a nasal spray, in which one dose is injected into each nostril. If this is the first time the child has been vaccinated against influenza, the child must be vaccinated twice at least four weeks apart. This vaccine may be given at the same time as a 4-year MMR vaccine. If these two are not given at the same time, they should be given at an interval of four weeks.

Vaccination period

The target groups for the free influenza vaccination can be vaccinated from and including the 1st of October 2022 to and including the 14th of January 2023.

NOTE: Certain in the target groups — pregnant women and people with congenital or acquired immune deficiency and their household — can be vaccinated up to and including 28 February 2022.
