According to the recommendations from the Danish Health Authority, pregnant women are offered a number of examinations by their own doctor, a midwife and at the hospital.

In the clinic we offer the following examinations.
 
 

Pregnancy detection

  • Pregnancy test

  • Information on diet and vitamins during pregnancy and prenatal diagnosis. Prenatal diagnosis includes two scans at the hospital:

    • 1st trimester scan in week 11-13, for which you book an appointment here.

    • 2nd trimester scan in week 18-19, where the fetus is scanned for malformations.

  • Requisition of blood tests which include blood type and screening for HIV, Syphilis, Hepatitis B.

  • Schedule of a new appointment for filling out pregnancy documents (‘Vandrejournal’ and ‘Svangrejournal’) and blood tests results.

1. Pregnancy examination

  • Filling out pregnancy documents (‘Vandrejournal’ and ‘Svangrejournal’), which are sent to the hospital, and you will then be summoned for midwife/hospital examinations via E-box.

  • Blood tests results.

  • Examination of blood pressure, weight and urine.

2. Pregnancy examination week 25

  • Completing the ‘Vandrejournal’ and assessing whether the child is growing normally.

  • Examination of blood pressure, weight and urine.

  • Extra blood test (Rhesus D negative only *)

* All Rhesus D negative pregnant women should have an extra blood sample taken at this time to examine the baby's blood type.

3. Pregnancy examination week 32

  • Completing the ‘Vandrejournal’ and assessing whether the child is growing normally.

  • Examination of blood pressure, weight and urine.

Appointments for prenatal visits must be made by telephone.
